Note: These FAQs are only relevant to existing RaboDirect customers who opened their account prior to 7th February 2008.

Why do I need a RaboDirect Current Account?

A RaboDirect Current Account is a transaction account which we automatically set up for you. It enables you to move money between your RaboDirect accounts and to transfer money to any bank account held with a financial institution (bank, building society etc) in Ireland.

Does it cost anything to have a RaboDirect Current Account?

It costs nothing to have a RaboDirect Current Account.  And remember, there is no interest offered on a RaboDirect Current Account.

Do you offer Debit Cards, Credit Cards or ATMs or Statements?

No. We're an internet bank and so don't provide ATMs, Debit or Credit cards. Customers can download account statements at any time. 

Can I set up direct debits from my RaboDirect Current Account?

 No. This facility is not available yet. 

Does my current account offer a credit facility?

No. No credit facilities or overdrafts are available on a RaboDirect Current Account.

How do I set up a standing order?

To set up a standing order, log in to your RaboDirect accounts by clicking on Secure Login on our home page. Standing Order is one of the menu options under the Transfer Money Out link. Simply follow the steps to set up your standing order.

Is a record kept of my account withdrawals?

You can request a record of all your account withdrawals for a period of up to 10 years.

What kind of payments can I make with my RaboDirect Current Account?

Your RaboDirect Current Account is there to facilitate transfers out of RaboDirect to any bank account held with a financial institution (bank, building society etc) in Ireland.
