What is the fund objective?
This fund seeks to maximize total return by investing at least 70% of its total assets in the equity securities of companies domiciled in, or exercising the predominant part of their economic activity in the United Kingdom.

Who is the Fund Manager?
This fund is managed by James Macpherson.
James is Managing Director and portfolio manager, Head of BlackRock's UK Equity team and a member of the Leadership Committee. He’s also responsible for managing UK equity portfolios for institutional clients.
James’ service with the firm dates back to 1985, including his years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. At MLIM, he was a member of the UK Asset Allocation Group and led the UK equity team. He began his investment career with MLIM in 1985 after earning a BA degree, with honours, in politics, philosophy and economics from Oxford University.
Who is Blackrock?
BlackRock Inc is an independent forum providing investment management, risk management and advisory services. Historically the firm has targeted institutional investors, but it has recently permeated the retail market, not least through the acquisition of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in 2006. The merger strengthened its reputation on the equity front and made it the biggest asset managers globally with assets under management at $1.26 trillion.
