About RaboDirect

RaboDirect is the internet bank operated by the Irish branch of the Dutch bank Coöperative Centrale Raiffeisen-Boerenleen Bank B.A., ("Rabobank"). RaboDirect is located in Dublin 2.

Rabobank is a bank established and regulated under the laws of the Netherlands and operates a branch in Ireland under the European Communities (Licensing and Supervision of Credit Institutions) Regulations 1992. Rabobank is supervised by the Dutch Central Bank. RaboDirect's conduct of business in Ireland is also subject to the supervision of the Central Bank in Ireland.

Rabobank is registered with the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam, the Netherlands under number 30046259. Rabobank's registered VAT number is IE8213349C. Rabobank's registered address is: Rabobank International Head Office, Croeselaan 18, 3521 CB Utrecht, The Netherlands.

About RaboDirect's Products

RaboDirect is an internet bank which provides banking services to Irish customers. RaboDirect provides its services exclusively via the internet. Funds are transferred from and to your Irish bank accounts. All accounts are operated in euros only. No borrowing facilities are available from RaboDirect.

We offer three types of account, as follows:

1. RaboDirect Savings Accounts

RaboDirect offers a savings account that provides an attractive interest rate and allows you to access your funds whenever you like. Full details of which are set out in the RaboDirect.ie website.  

2. RaboDirect Term Deposit Accounts

RaboDirect offers a range of deposit accounts for your savings. These Term Deposit Accounts have different deposit terms and pay different rates of interest full details of which are set out in the website  

3. RaboDirect Investments Account

This is an account which, if selected, will enable you to invest in investment funds selected by you.  

If you choose to open a RaboDirect Investments account, you should be aware that you will be an execution only client of RaboDirect. This means that you will be responsible for selecting your own investments and for determining the suitability of those investments to your needs. You may wish to seek independent investment advice. No advice will be provided to you by RaboDirect. Units in investment funds can fall as well as rise in value. The past performance of investment funds and any other investment may not be a reliable guide to future performance. Changes in exchange rates may have an adverse effect on the value, price or income from any investment fund. Income may fluctuate in accordance with market conditions and taxation arrangements.  

Bank Charges

RaboDirect only imposes bank charges which have been approved by the Central Bank in Ireland. 

Terms and conditions

All of our products are subject to terms and conditions, full details of which are set out on this website under the heading ["Terms and Conditions"]. These terms and conditions will form your agreement with RaboDirect (the "Agreement"). Our Terms and Conditions can be found at the bottom of our Legal page.

Deposit Interest Retention Tax

Irish Deposit Interest Retention Tax (DIRT) will be deducted at source from any interest payable to you at the prevailing rate.

Your Right to Cancel

You will not be bound by the Agreement unless and until you use RaboDirect's services for the first time.

You have the right to cancel your Agreement with us within 14 days of your entering into the Agreement by sending a written note of cancellation to the:

Your Agreement with us is not subject to a minimum duration and if you do not exercise your right of cancellation the terms of the Agreement will continue to apply for an indefinite period.

In addition to your right to cancel within the 14 day period, you have the right to terminate the Agreement at any time as set out in the Agreement.  

If you cancel your Agreement within the 14 day period or at any other time you will be liable to repay any outstanding balance due to Rabodirect on that date and all outstanding fees, charges, stamp duties, government levies and all accrued but unpaid interest (if any).

The Agreement will be governed by the laws of Ireland and the Courts of Ireland will have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any disputes. This will include any negotiations or discussions prior to you entering into the Agreement.

The Agreement and all information and communication with you will be in English.

What to do if you have a complaint

Your views are genuinely important to us at RaboDirect. We encourage feedback from our customers - the good and the bad. If you have a complaint we would like the opportunity to put things right as quickly as we can. So, where do you send your complaint ?
