Rabo Lands Two Sharks
RaboDirect.ie picked up two 'Sharks' at the Kinsale International Advertising Awards in Sept
ember 2006. Shark awards are given to outstanding examples of broadcast advertising by category. The RaboDirect.ie's marketing team and their advertising agency, The Hive, developed the ads.
RaboDirect.ie's commercial, 'Bride' was awarded a Gold Shark for 'Best Business and Corporate TV commercial' and 'Bride' and another commercial, 'Builder' were awarded Bronze for 'Best Irish TV Series'. The commercials underpin RaboDirect.ie's positioning as The Straight Talking Online Bank. The international Grand Prix went to Sony Bravia for their commercial 'Balls'.
The Shark Awards is an annual advertising festival that celebrates the best work in broadcast advertising (TV, radio and viral), from Ireland and around the world. They are held in Kinsale, in County Cork where they have become a staple of the international advertising community. Established in 1962 at the birth of commercial television in Ireland, the Shark Awards are now thought of as one of the top creative advertising festivals in the world.
