Sydney Office Officially Opens

A celebration for the official opening of the Sydney office held yesterday was attended by about 350 employees and hosted by Chairman of the MBRI Hans ten Cate and CEO Rabobank Australia and New Zealand Bruce Dick.

Held at the Sydney Convention Centre directly opposite the new Darling Park head office, attendees had a perfect view of the Rabobank building signage. During the function Mr. Ten Cate shared his perspective on Rabobank International and the Australia & New Zealand business.

The chairman reinforced the bank's international strategy: "to remain the number 1 global food and agribusiness bank" and provided an overview of the focus areas for the year. He stressed that corporate social responsibility, accountability, management development and improvements in internal communications and in transparency and accountability would be vital for continued success and growth.

Concluding his presentation, Ten Cate was positive about the Australia and New Zealand business. "To me, Australia and New Zealand is an interesting investment from three perspectives. Financially - there is steady growth without many sleepless nights for me. Strategically - the main business is originated in food & agribusiness and geographically it provides good diversification of the portfolio."
