How do I set up Rabo Money Mover on my account?

Setting up a Rabo Money Mover is easy. The steps involved depend on whether you are an existing customer or planning on becoming a customer.

Click on the following links for further information:

I’m planning on opening a RaboDirect Account

  1. Tick the Rabo Money Mover box on the online application wizard

  2. Send us in your most recent original current account* bank statement for the external account you wish to debit the money from.

  3. We'll use the original current account* bank statement received from you to validate your Rabo Money Mover and then it's ready for you to use.

Suits you!

You can change the frequency, amount and dates of Rabo Money Mover transfers into your account at any time. And you can cancel or suspend the Rabo Money Mover facility whenever you wish.

* If you have another type of account, such as a savings or deposit account, we would advise that you contact your external bank to confirm the account is suitable for Direct Debits.

I’m an existing RaboDirect Customer

Log in to your secure RaboDirect account. You will find the Rabo Money Mover option under 'Transfer Money in', on the left hand menu.

Select 'Create' and choose which RaboDirect account you would like to lodge your funds to - i.e. your Savings Account.

Now you need to enter the account from which you will be withdrawing your funds from. For example, your primary current account with your other bank. Enter the National Sort Code (NSC) number and account number.

Enter the Account Name of the external account.

You must then tick the box confirming that you can authorise direct debits from this account, your account can facilitate the instruction and that you will not require any further notification from us.

The next step is to enter the amount and frequency of withdrawals from your external account. You can choose from one-off or regular payments. Select the drop down box for regular payment options. You can review the details of your Rabo Money Mover facility on the confirmation screen.

You will need your Digipass to authorise the creation of the facility.

Important: Whether you are an existing or new client you must complete a 'Rabo Money Mover' form. Please post this form along with your original current account* bank statement for the account from which you would like to withdraw your funds. For example, if you will be linking your primary current account with your RaboDirect accounts this is the statement you must send us (must be dated within the last 6 months). We will return your original statement to you. Please ensure that your account is able to accept direct debit requests.

It takes it takes approximately 7 days to set up, this allows us time to receive your bank statement and validate it. If you have used this external account previously using the Rabo Money Mover facility you just need to go to the FAQ 'How do I set up a Rabo Money Mover?'

* If you have another type of account, such as a savings or deposit account, we would advise that you contact your external bank to confirm the account is suitable for Direct Debits.
